H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi chaired today meeting of the crisis unit where the economic and financial conditions have been discussed in the light of the challenges faced by Iraq.

The meeting also discussed the direction of the prime minister to decrease salaries of the three presidencies and special ranked employees by submitting a comprehensive solution in this regard after Eid.

The meeting also reviewed the oil agreement with Kurdistan and the necessity of abiding by its items according to the budget law of 2015, and the minister of oil will follow up this matter.

Also, to promote the financial situation and activate economy and development in the country, the crisis unit decided to issue treasury transfers during the rest months of this year and releasing national stocks with suitable interests.

The crisis also decided to adopt the recommendations of the economic committee regarding the suggestions of the ministry of planning to solve the problems of the investment plan which includes the project dues and letters of credit.

As for the deferred payment projects, it has been agreed that the ministry of planning will determine the strategic projects in the light of the national development plan.
