Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi chaired on Monday a meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Energy.

During the meeting there was a discussion on the development of oil and gas fields to suit the growing need for energy, and the current electricity situation and measures taken to increase its production, and the supply of fuel and water to power stations, in addition to discussing the supply of spare parts for gas units.

They also discussed the water treatment fields in Gharraf and other fields run by the Ministry of Water Resources, and unifying the activities for radiological and nuclear controls in the country.
