The Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadi affirmed that the basis for reform is to meet the will of people, realize their interests, deal fairly with the poor and exterminate the roots of corruption without clinging to positions.
His Excellency explained that his directions for reform stems not from a desire to grip power, nor to override the constitutional frameworks, but to perpetuate the State of citizenship and get away with individualism or partisan and sectarian domination to handcuff state institutions with abhorrent quota system.
H.E. stressed that the vice presidencies led to slouch and this is one of the corruption passages. Since the Council of Representatives had legislated these positions, hence it is in their power the vote to cancel them and this is consistent with the Constitution and laws.
The Prime Minister called on the Council of Representatives not to slit the reform document, lay it as a single document and to assume responsibility of acceptance or refusal.
