Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi: the reforms will not stop and must include all aspects of the state and society |

Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi said that the loans scheme will give an opportunity to support the youth and productive projects in industry, agriculture, and housing sectors, indicating that the granting of loans will achieve sustainability of public investments, preservation and revitalization of the economic sector, and stressed commitment to the independence of the central bank and non-interference its policy.
These comments came during his attendance in the first workshop on the road to the implementation of economic reforms in Iraq assigned to activate the lending project to sectors of industry, agriculture and housing measures.
The Prime Minister will not stop and must include all aspects of the state and society, and we cannot allow political quotas to turn into an obsession, and this is at the heart of what we do as reforms.
He said: The reform decisions hit those close to me and that is the most difficult part in the reform because the official looks at the public interest and is keen on the progress of the reforms without considering the satisfaction and unhappiness of some individuals
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi said corruption is a destructive element and a real scourge and must be fought in two ways: Accounting, oversight, and investigation, and the second is procedural and preventive solutions to prevent the occurrence of corruption, and lead to increasing the efficiency of the state and improve its overall performance, pointing to the need to let reforms take their role in the fight against corruption and inefficiency, without injustice, and guaranteeing the right of employees to live decently.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of having a mechanism that is simple for the granting of loans, and without excess routines, and is firm and solid to avoid being misused, and includes the provinces fairly and according to need.
