Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadi phoned, on Wednesday, President of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to console him and condemn the terrorist acts on Egypt today and previously.
His Excellency al-Abadi solaced the people and president of Egypt on the behalf of the Iraqi people, for the toll of the terrorist attacks in Egypt, noting that these acts are murder crimes which target all Muslims than a political dispute saying that: "We stand by your side and are ready to establish a security and intelligence cooperation, because those who commit murder in Egypt are doing the same in Iraq; they are merely criminal terroristic groups not disputed political parties."
The prime minister called for continuous cooperation and concerted efforts to eliminate the deviant ideology and the terrorist groups.
The president el-Sisi, in turn, valued the call and the solace, stressing the need for working together for the sake of our homeland, religion and humanity. Mr. el-Sisi agreed about the necessity for cooperation in the intelligence and security fields and demonstrated keenness of Egypt for the joint work, saying: "Our common war is to promote the good against evil and advance the right over the wrong. Egypt is standing by the side of Iraq, supports it in the fight against terrorism and we appreciate the Iraqi people who definitely will conquer by God's will."
