H.E. Iraqi PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi visited today Al-Basra University where the presidency of the university gave a presentation about the educational condition and the needs of the university to improve its level of education.
Dr. Al-Abadi said in a speech delivered there that "the message we send from the Al-Basra University is that this Province remains in our hearts… it used to be a source of science, civilization, and culture throughout history in addition to its natural resources".
H.E. added "we hope that Al-Basra becomes a real economic capital and we will support this trend strongly". Dr. Al-Abadi also mentioned that: "terrorism will not be able to demolish a nation which has its own history, civilization and culture… there are real victories on ground achieved by the security forces to keep Iraq united".
On the other hand H.E. referred to the agreement with Kurdistan saying that: "it is a step on the right path to keep the rights of all Iraqis, because we want a fair solution".
