H.E. Iraqi PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi met today in the presidential palace in Ankara the Turkish President Mr. Rajab Erdogan. The two sides held a bilateral meeting and discussed developing relations between the two neighboring countries in addition to reviewing political, security and terrorist challenges faced by Iraq and the region.
They also held a meeting attended by members of the Iraqi and Turkish delegations in which they affirmed the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
On his part, the Turkish President congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi for the formation of the new government which represents all components of the Iraqi people, hoping that this government will open a new page in the relations, promote stability and achieve prosperity to the Iraqi people.
