Iraqi PM Dr. Al-Abadi Hold Meeting with Turkish Counterpart

H.E. Iraqi PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi held today a bilateral meeting with His Turkish Counterpart Mr. Ahmed Oglu. H.E. said: we discussed all issues openly...our relations with Turkey will be based on mutual respect, asserting that the activation of high strategic committee will serve the interests of the two people.
Dr. Al-Abadi added: Da'esh targets both Iraq and Turkey and this require further cooperation to demolish this danger…we are waiting from the Turkish side to provide security and intelligence support in addition to promoting economic, oil, and water relations and trade exchange.
On his part Turkish PM renewed the stand of Turkey toward Iraq affirming that: Da'esh threatens all… we are ready to provide all kinds of support to Iraq and we are to hold many agreements, hoping that all Iraqi cities to be cleared from terrorist groups.
In a combined press conference, Dr. Al-Abadi said that: we are achieving big victories, asserting that the government included the tribes which fight on ground against Da'esh.
As for the Syrian crisis, H.E. affirmed the necessity of solving this problem to limit the terrorist groups and tensions, and while Iraq looks forward to solve this crisis it doesn’t intend to interfere in it.
Turkish PM on the other hand, expressed the support of Turkey to Iraq's sovereignty referring that there are prospects of cooperation with Iraq. He also added: that the incidents in Syria affect us and we are ready for a combined work in this regard to reach a security understanding.
