PM Al-Abadi and Jordanian PM discuss the political and security situation and prospects of joint cooperation

PM Dr. Al-Abadi discussed with the Jordanian Prime Minister the current political and security situation in Iraq and the region, as well as the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. They also discussed bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism and cooperation in sectors such as economy, trade, agriculture, and industry.
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi pointed out the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries to better serve the interests of the two fraternal peoples. H.E. explained that the Iraqi government is currently adopting a foreign policy aiming at establishing relations with neighboring and worldwide countries based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.
For his part, the Jordanian Prime Minister expressed Jordan's support and solidarity with Iraq in its war against the terrorist gangs of ISIL, as he also conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s message of support for Iraq and for Al-Abadi’s current government.
