Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadiconfirmedin a speech at the ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Planning in collaboration with UNDP, where the United Nations launched the National Human Development Report: that Iraq faces two fundamental challenges;the eradication of terrorism and the challenge of delivering servicesand reconstruction, stressing that awareness is keytofacing up to thesechallenges.
His Excellency said: "There are two challenges we have to address; the first is the eradication and ultimately elimination of terrorism, the other is the building and reconstruction and the provision of services", adding: "We can overcome the challenges if we have the will and determination and that is based on awareness."
Al-Abadi called on community leaders to take action to assist vulnerableclasses in order to rehabilitate and open new horizons forthem, warning of the risks of wealth concentration in a few hands, calling for a fair distribution of wealth and provision of equal opportunities to all.
