Our condolencesgo out to the Iraqi people and the cultural milieu, onthe departure of the senior historian,Salim Al-Alusi who exerted effortsand spent his life as a researcher, a scholar and a historian. Generation after generation will bear out Al-Alusi's achievements and his rich contributions,whose absence may cause Iraq and the cultural scene to becomeshort of a prominent figure,asking the Lord glorified, to bestow mercy upon his soul and inspire his family and loved ones patience and fortitude.
