His Excellency Iraqi PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi provided a detailed overview about his visit to the UAE. H.E. mentioned that the meetings with the Emirate officials were positive and they were ready to provide all kinds of support to Iraq in the security, political, economic, and other fields. Dr. Al-Abadi explained that this visit opened wide prospects of relations with the UAE which will be part of the government policy to improve Iraq's relations both regionally and internationally which should be based on mutual respect and non interference in internal affairs.
On the other hand, H.E. asked everyone to undertake their responsibilities to pass the budget which will serve the Iraqi people. He also affirmed the importance of reducing the deficit and maximizing financial recourses of other sectors in addition to reducing unnecessary expenditures in order to improve the financial conditions of Iraq and achieve prosperity for its people.
Dr. Al-Abadi underlined the government's serious commitment to implement the governmental program in full. It is worth to mention that CoM discussed the governmental program and the 2015 budget. Also, both the ministers of finance and oil submitted a report about the financial condition and oil production of Iraq in the next phase. CoM also voted on some other decisions listed in its agenda.
