H.E. Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi receives GE's CEO

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received this Wednesday, GE's CEO Joseph Anis and his accompanying delegation.
His Excellency Prime Minister confirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between the Iraqi government and General Electric Company to find comprehensive solutions to provide electricity to citizens, benefiting from modern technology and renewable energies. His Excellency added that Iraq is expanding to global companies and investment opportunities available to the experiences and big companies for providing services to the Iraqi people in all fields, primarily electric power, pointing out the importance of cooperation with GE to develop and improve energy.

GE's CEO submitted a summary of the work progress in the strategic projects implemented by the General Electric, including the linking of several secondary stations in different provinces of Iraq to solve Electric network bottleneck in this summer and next summer, and the work progressing in the Power stations projects of Samawa and Dhi Qar and Zubayr's station project, as well as new projects under contract, which will increase the capacity of the network in Iraq by 3000 MW,
GE's CEO Joseph Anis also reviewed the projects that are being discussed in the framework of the roadmap for developing electricity, which covers projects in all governorates of Iraq, providing training and creating job opportunities for citizens across the country.
The meeting was attended by the CEO's accompanying delegation and Prime Minister's Advisor.
