His Excellency Prime Minister, Commander in chief of the Armed Forces Adil Abd Al-Mahdi has visited Ministry of defense headquarter.

His Excellency has held a meeting with the military leaders, where he briefed on the detailed presentation on the security situation.

His Excellency Prime Minister, Commander in chief of the Armed Forces Adil Abd Al-Mahdi has said that the Iraqi army has begun to regain its place in a democratic state and not a dictatorial state, indicating that the army is not used in repression, but in the protection of the people.

His Excellency has pointed out that the sacrifices made by the heroes of our armed forces did achieve victory, noting that his visit to the security ministries in the first days of the government's ascendancy came to the importance of these ministries and the security file.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi has said: "Security and economy are linked together, without security stability there will be neither investment nor development of the economy and services.

His Excellency has stressed the need to strengthen the intelligence effort and the pursuit of terrorist cells to eliminate them because it is cancer not fully eradicated.

Concerning the relations with neighboring countries, His Excellency has confirmed that Iraq wants to strengthen its relations with neighboring countries and the international community on the basis of common interests, searching for the similarities, which are more than differences, noting that wars and conflicts have hurt Iraq a lot.

His Excellency has pointed to the importance of developing the capabilities of the army and training, adding that the country's citizens are proud of our armed forces and we are proud of them,
His Excellency has added: We thank you for all the sacrifices that you have made which that did save Iraq.
